The objective of this assignment was to come up with a new library design for the NYIT College Campus. We were given a site location where we were allowed to place the library after the demolition of the existing library. For my design, I wanted to design a space where students enjoyed and looked forward to going to whether it was for class, schoolwork or relaxing. When designing the library I took into consideration the pond located on the site and oriented the building in a way that specific rooms were able to experience the pond.
